Maritex introduces to its offer two new high power LEDs of the Taiwanese manufacturer Prolight. Models PB2D-1CLA-TC and PB2D-UCLA-TC are UV-C diodes with bactericidal and virucidal properties.
The UV-C radiation is defined as the wavelength range of light, which is a component of ultraviolet radiation, from 100 nm to 280 nm. This radiation is harmful to human eyes and skin, however, it finds application in devices for sterilizing spaces/objects from the presence of viruses and bacteria. These LEDs are used for clearing away hospital rooms, medical tools, public transport vehicules or personal items.
Both PB2D-1CLA-TC and PB2D-UCLA-TC are characterized by light radiation in the wavelength range from 265 nm to 280 nm. They are contained in a 3.45 mm x 3.45 mm x 1.05 mm housing, which means 100% compatibility with soldering pads of CREE XP and XT series LEDs. The difference between these two is radiation power nad working power. The radiometric power efficiency is respectively type. 8.5 mW / 100mA and typ. 3.5 mW / 20mA.
