New CREE J Series JR5050C 6-V E Class

Cree LED has introduced its J Series® 5050C E Class LEDs, which have the best effectiveness for high power LEDs in the industry: 228 lumens per watt (LPW) with typical at 4000K, 70 CRI, and 1W. At the same effectiveness level, the new J Series LEDs provide up to three times more light output than competitive 5050 LEDs. These sophisticated LEDs are also built with enhanced corrosion resistance for use in the harshest settings.

Cree LED now provides four performance levels in the J Series® 5050 LED portfolio, with the inclusion of the new E Class LEDs, to meet the majority of directed general illumination applications. Unlike other 5050s with asymmetric die layouts that diminish intensity via secondary optics, J Series 5050 LEDs have optimized layouts that produce peak intensities up to 12.5% higher than the competition while also improving color-over-angle.

This advancement in the performance of the 5050 J-series LEDs allows for considerable cost reductions. You may expect a 40% decrease in power expenses and a 57% reduction in footprint when using J Series® 5050 LEDs. Lenses and PCBs are also saved.

Target applications include:

  • Outdoor area lighting
  • High/low bay lighting
  • Roadway and indoor professional applications

The new CREE J Series® JR5050C 6-V E Class LEDs are available in correlated color temperatures (CCTs) ranging from 2200K to 6500K, as well as 70, 80, and 90 CRI choices for all CCTs.
