Maritex among „FORBES Diamonds 2023”

For the fifteenth time, in cooperation with the editors of “Forbes”, Dun & Bradstreet Poland has compiled a list of the most dynamically developing companies in Poland. All companies on the list can boast the title of Forbes Diamonds 2023. Among them is Maritex Leszek Łosin Sp.j.

The aim of the ranking is to identify the most dynamically developing Polish companies that have achieved the highest average annual increase in value. The list is prepared on the basis of the Swiss method of company valuation, taking into account the financial results and the value of assets, from 2017-2021.

In the first step, Dun & Bradstreet Sp. z o. o. collects data and, based on them, creates databases of enterprises to which it assigns a positive credibility rating. Companies must be profitable (based on EBIT and ROA ratios) and have high current liquidity and not be in arrears with payments. Companies that meet these conditions must also demonstrate a positive financial result and the value of equity. The companies that have achieved sales revenues of at least PLN 5 million in the last year are taken into account. Financial institutions, such as banks, as well as companies that are in arrears with payments shown in the National Debt Register are eliminated from the ranking.

In the second stage, the company is valued by the so-called Swiss method, combining the asset and income method. The first one does not value the employees’ potential and the know-how they possess. Valuation based on earnings does not take into account sensitivity to seasonal or economic changes. In addition, companies that are focused on growth and invest heavily may show small profits. The combination of both methods compensates for these shortcomings.
